Sterling Police Department Hiring

THE CITY OF STERLING, IL Board of Fire and Police Commissioners will be accepting applications for POLICE OFFICER for the Sterling Police Department. Applications will be available in the Police Department Administration office, 212 3rd Avenue, Sterling, IL beginning Tuesday, September 2, 2014 through Friday, September 15, 2014. All applications must be returned no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2014 to the Police Department Administration office

Storm related cleanup

If you have yard waste that will fit in a yard waste container please put it in the container and put it out for Republic Services to pick up. If you have branches or limbs you can put them out by the alley or curb for Public Works, they will cut them up and remove them for you. The deadline to have your limbs and branches to the curb is September 1st. Public Works Department appreciates your patience and assistance with the clean-up.
